We look forward to having a conversation about where you are in your faith journey and your understanding of what it means to be an active member of the Catholic Church. We will call this an interview, but it is not a test. It’s a conversation, and there is no pass or fail.
During the interview, our team of adults will be ready to pray with you and talk to you. This is a time for you to share what you know about our Catholic faith and also how you want to be fully active members of the Church.
Please, as you review the questions, understand that this is our faith and these are the basics of what has been taught in the sessions. The difference now is for you to be able to share what it is that inspires you in faith and how you want to contribute to St. Michael’s Catholic community and liturgical life.
Each interview will cover a lot of ground in only 30 minutes, so your preparation ahead of time will be very much appreciated. There is no need to memorize lists (for example, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit). Your interviewer will have lists and help you. Remember, this is not a test!

scheduling
The interviews will be conducted by your small group leaders and parish staff.
Confirmation Interviews will be on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 9:00-10:30am and Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 7:00-8:30pm. I have scheduled the interviews to be during their usual Sunday/Wednesday class time.
Teens will enter in through the Gym and be immediately directed to their small group rooms. In class, they will be making prayer blankets for their Confirmation service projects.
As interviewers become available, we will send the teens to the Gym. So there will be no need to sign up ahead of time. Each interview will be 30 minutes.
Be assured that this is not a test but a conversation about their journey towards Confirmation. They do not need to memorize any lists either. I do recommend that they read through the questions above beforehand and think about how they might answer.
Once their interview is completed, they go back to class and continue making their blankets.
Please let me know if you have any questions ([email protected]).
